Egypt contains Nile River Delta, which is the end of the Nile river. The Nile river is believed to be the longest river in the world. It is fed by the White Nile river, Blue Nile river, and the Atbara river all which originate in central Africa.

Lake Nasser is the largest lake in Egypt and is a man made reservoir made by a dam across the Nile river in southern Egypt near Aswan.

Egypt is also home to two major deserts. The Eastern Desert, named because it is located east of the Nile river and also the Libyan Desert, which is part of the larger dessert called the Sahara which extends into Africa. The Libyan Desert is mostly uninhabited except for the few oasis settlements, Siwa Oasis and Fayyum Oasis being the two most prominent.
